Det burde være overgangsfelt fra Sørvollveien og over RV862 samt en "gangvei" over grøfta. På vinteren dette brøytes. Det er farlig å gå langs riksveien selv på korte strekninger. Det har vært mange uhell nettopp på denne strekningen.
