Det er store hull og dype sår flere steder på fylkesvei 742 mellom Hesttrøa og Melhus sentrum. Biler med normal bakke klaring faller ned i spor, slik at rygg på vei skraper under bil. For å unngå dette benytter kjøretøy hele veibanen, noe som skaper farlige møtesituasjoner. Grunnarbeid på vei må utbedres snarest.
