Asfalten er slitt og ødelagt i hele innkjøring til snuplass ved fjellbu 56 til 62. På snuplass er asfalt så ødelagt at når brøytetraktor fjerner sne på vinter følger deler av asfalt med. Kjøring med tyngere kjøretøy knekker asfalt langs kanten i innkjøring. Det har vært slik over flere år.
