"Hvitt vann" i springen er som følge av at vannet inneholder mye luft. Dette er vanlig i forbindelse med en lekkasje, da en oppfylling av vann etter brudd vil medføre at vannet tar opp en del av luften det fortrenger. Du kan se det samme om du "pisker" vann eller rister på en halvfull flaske.
