Det er flere hull i Nyveien, og spesielt i siste sving inn til byen er det ekstra ille. Flere førere som skal opp fra byen legger seg ut i denne svingen for å unngå hullene, noe som fort kan skape skumle situasjoner siden undergangen der allerede er relativt smal.
