Instøyveien er lite kjørbar, og har vært i en elendig forfatning i lang tid. Slaghull og tildels «vaskebrett» medfører stor slitasje på kjøretøy. Det er også utfordrende og direkte farlig for barn å sykle på deler av veien. Veiens tilstand er meldt muntlig til teknisk avdeling i kommunen, men ingenting skjer.
