Det renner grunnvann fra muren her gjennom hele året. Når det blir minusgrader fryser vannet og hele gangveien blir en eneste stor isvei. Det er svært glatt og farlig, spesielt for eldre og skrøpelige. Det strøs svært sjeldent og skrapes aldri.
